Heavenly Father, touch the person that is on this ministry website & Bless them.
Throughout history, God has empowered women to carry His message. The Bible reminds us that sharing the good news isn’t confined to gender. Jesus Himself entrusted women with some of the most significant moments in His ministry, showing us that women, too, are called to proclaim the message of salvation.
I encourage all women in ministry, reminding you that if God has called and sent you, you are equipped and empowered to share the gospel boldly.
1. Mary Magdalene - First Witness of the Resurrection
Scripture: John 20:17 (NKJV)
Jesus said to her, ‘Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.
The first-person Jesus appeared to after His resurrection wasn’t one of the twelve disciples—it was Mary Magdalene. Jesus told her to go and proclaim the greatest news ever spoken: “He is risen!” Her obedience shows us that being sent by God has nothing to do with position or title. If you have encountered Jesus, you have a testimony worth sharing.
2. The Samaritan Woman - A Witness to Her Community
Scripture: John 4:28-30 (NKJV)
"The woman then left her waterpot, went her way into the city, and said to the men, ‘Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did. Could this be the Christ?’ Then they went out of the city and came to Him."
The Samaritan woman met Jesus at the well, and her life was changed forever. Jesus didn’t just meet her needs—He gave her living water, and she immediately became a witness to her entire town.
When God transforms your life, He also equips you to share His truth with those around you. Sometimes the greatest impact comes from simply telling others, "Come and see! AMEN! Thank you, GOD!
3. The Women at the Tomb - Messengers of Hope
Scripture: Matthew 28:8-10 (NKJV)
So they went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring His disciples word. And as they went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, ‘Rejoice!’ So, they came and held Him by the feet and worshiped Him. Then Jesus said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. Go and tell My brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see Me.
After the resurrection, the first instruction Jesus gave to the women at the tomb was to “go and tell.” Their role in ministry was clear—they were sent to carry the message of hope and joy to others. Jesus trusted women with the most powerful message: His victory over death. In the same way, when God calls you, He also equips you to share His love with those in need.
Encouragement for Women in Ministry
No matter your background or experience, if God has called you to share the gospel, He has given you everything you need. You don’t have to be perfect or have all the answers; you simply need to be faithful. Whether through teaching, evangelism, writing, or everyday conversations, you have a part in bringing the good news of Jesus to others.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for calling women throughout history to carry Your message of The Gospel of Jesus, His love and redemption. Help us to walk boldly in Your calling, knowing that You have equipped us to share the good news. May we, like Mary Magdalene, the Samaritan woman, and the women at the tomb, joyfully proclaim that Jesus is alive. Empower every woman reading this to trust in Your leading and speak Your truth to a world in need. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Reflection Questions with My answers...
1. How does the story of Mary Magdalene encourage you to share your testimony with others?
Mary Magdalene’s story shows that Jesus uses ordinary people, regardless of their past, to spread extraordinary news. She was the first to witness the resurrection, demonstrating that God trusts women with His most important message. This encourages me because it reminds me that my testimony, no matter how simple or personal, is valuable in pointing others to Christ.
2. In what ways has Jesus transformed your life, like the Samaritan woman at the well?
Just as the Samaritan woman’s encounter with Jesus brought healing and purpose, Jesus has changed my life by giving me peace, forgiveness, and a sense of belonging. Knowing Him has quenched my spiritual thirst and renewed my mind, helping me walk in freedom from past shame and brokenness.
3. Have you ever hesitated to share the gospel? How does knowing Jesus sent women to tell the good news inspire you to be bolder?
Yes, there have been times when fear of rejection or feeling inadequate made me hesitate. However, knowing that Jesus commissioned women—like Mary Magdalene and the women at the tomb—gives me confidence. If Jesus believed in their ability to share the good news, I can trust He will equip me as well.
4. What is one way you can bring the good news of Jesus to your community today?
I can share the love of Jesus by offering kindness to others, being intentional with conversations, and praying for opportunities to encourage someone. Whether it’s through social media, volunteering, or personal invitations to church, every act of love reflects the heart of Christ.
5. How can you encourage other women in your life to step into their calling and share God’s love?
I can encourage other women by reminding them of their worth in Christ and affirming that they have a unique calling. Hosting small Bible studies, praying with them, and sharing examples of how God has used women throughout history can help them feel empowered to walk boldly in faith.
If God has called you, He will go with you. You are sent by Him! Go and tell the good news with joy and confidence.
I pray this encourages you, In Jesus Name! Amen!
Sincerely, Your Sister in Christ, Stephanie Smith
